in college athletics. As a national championship-winning Athletic Director and coach, he led

Numerous teams to victory while mentoring hundreds of student-athletes on and off the court.

His coaching tree includes individuals who went on to become doctors, lawyers, accountants,

and even entertainers— and Realtors, including a former player who became a star on the hit

sitcom “The Reba McEntire TV Show. Perhaps most impressively, one of his former players

rose through the coaching ranks to coach in the NBA, and was hired by the “GOAT” himself,

Micheal Jordan, who at the time was the General Manager of the Charolette Hornets., to be the

Hornets head coach. Funny thing - - His former player coached Lorenzo Ball – who Coach John

played and roomed with his dad, (LaVar Ball) when he played in College.
